Hi and thank you so much for stopping by, I’m Jarn Elias. I thought I'd share quickly with you why I do what I do and how I got here. I will do this like a script of a movie scene between myself and my parents. "Jarno! Why don't you become a school captain? You're always bossing your brother around." - (Parents) "OK, yeh, why not." - (Jarn) RESULT: I was school captain & lead the student representative council in primary and high school. "Jarno! Why don't you go university so you can have good job and good pay?" - (Parents) "OK, yeh, why not." - (Jarn) RESULT: I was accepted at the University of New South Wales for Construction Management & Property. "Jarno! Why don't you aim for Honours?" - (Parents) "Ahhh, yeh, why not." - (Jarn) RESULT: I tried a little harder in my exams and after four years I achieved an Honours Degree. "Jarno! You should apply with Australia's largest builders - (Parents) "Ahhh, yeh, why not." - (Jarn) RESULT: I applied with the top Australian builders and very luckily scored a job with Baulderstone on the $160M Macquarie University Hospital project and went on to work on a variety of government & university projects such as; Innovation Campus Wollongong ($25M), Energy2U Alliance Sydney ($250M) with Leighton Contractors and North West Rail Link Early Works ($180M) with Lend Lease. 6 years later..........One of the youngest engineers earning a six figure salary BUT there was still something missing. "Muma & Baba! I'm leaving my job and building the family business- (Jarn) "You're crazy" - (Parents) "I am. Watch me!" (Jarn) RESULT: Operating two successful businesses "Sydney Renovation Hire" & "Sydney Handyman Hire". The Reason For me business isn't about the money, pride or status. Business is about doing the one and only thing you love so much that you'd do it for free:
